Monitoring

Gain insights, compare KPIs, observe trends.

Monitoring

With energy monitoring, you gain a comprehensive insight into your energy data: from load profiles to various grid quality parameters, which are captured as part of metering point operation.

acteno energy provides the data centrally for your company and takes care of all requirements for data transmission, processing, and validation.

With energy monitoring, in addition to viewing individual characteristic curves, you also have the ability to compare multiple energy values or generate statistics, trends, or duration curves.

Load Profile Analysis

Load profile analysis provides a detailed insight into time-related energy consumption. By assigning to systems, operating times, and processes, potential for efficiency improvements emerges. Load profile analysis additionally supports procurement optimisation. Various tools are used:

  • General load profile
  • Identification of consumption trends
  • Identify peak loads and high-load periods
  • Load distribution as load profile curve
  • Period comparison
  • Comparison of feed-in, consumption, and self-consumption
  • Planning and monitoring of own generation
  • Active and reactive power
  • Supply quality analyses

Selection of Different Time Periods, Sites & Units

Recorded energy data can be displayed in freely definable time periods, with the user free to select any sites or individual units. For temporal comparison, daily, weekly, monthly, or annual views can be created. An additional subdivision by specific weekdays is possible at any time.

In addition to viewing individual charts, it is possible to zoom in and out on individual characteristic curves with arbitrary precision.

Statistics

Statistics such as base load, minimum, maximum, average values, and self-consumption share are available on demand for one or multiple sites at any time. For more detailed analyses, statistics can also be selected at the level of individual systems.

Alerting

Being informed in time about unforeseen results is part of monitoring. This way, significant deviations can be recognised immediately, rather than only being informed upon receipt of the energy bill. For each type and each site, individual users and groups can be defined. Users can set their own thresholds or be automatically informed of predefined events.

For each individual site, a log is maintained that comprehensively records which notification was received when, where, and how.

  • Notification for minimum / maximum threshold breaches
  • Notification when operating hour counters exceed working hours
  • Detection of unusual consumption patterns
  • Notification via email / SMS upon deviation

Application areas of alerting include:

  • Detect shutdowns of generation plants
  • Monitoring energy consumption at a site
  • Power monitoring for demand charge reduction
  • Support for energy industry applications, such as atypical grid usage
